The Orlando restaurant shortlist

Kaya is the most distinctive dinner in Orlando: Filipino cooking with a Michelin Green Star. It does not hold a regular star, whatever you have read. The 20% service charge applies to every check, so do the math before you add a tip. The Ravenous Pig is the best-value serious meal around: you can eat well for under $50 a head.

Victoria & Albert's is the one Disney table worth its price, and now the only Michelin-starred restaurant on Disney property. Cancel inside five days and you pay $100 per person. Jiko is the Disney signature restaurant where you pay for cooking: a starter and its priciest entree come in under California Grill's $99 prix fixe.

For cheap meals, Black Bean Deli's $11 Cuban sandwich is the benchmark: with a $2 cafecito it costs $13, against $21.27 before tax for chicken strips, fries and a drink at Magic Kingdom's Cosmic Ray's. Se7en Bites opens Thursday to Sunday only; arrive before 11 a.m. for pie. Hawkers halves the price of baos and beer from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

• California Grill, $99 three-course prix fixe. Worth it only if your table overlaps the Magic Kingdom fireworks. At 5 p.m. with no show, it is a good hotel dinner at Disney prices.
• Capa, Four Seasons rooftop. It lost its Michelin star in 2026. Go for tapas ($8 to $24) on a fireworks night; a $95 ribeye is paying for the view.
• Soseki, ten seats, one star, $342 prepaid on Tock and non-refundable. Book it only if your plans are fixed.
• Christner's, old-school steakhouse, 8 oz filet $64, free valet, jacket preferred. Good for a celebration, not a bargain.
• The Boathouse, Disney Springs. Have a drink on the dock and split the $55 baked Alaska; a full steak dinner costs big-city steakhouse money.
• 4 Rivers Smokehouse, fair chain barbecue (brisket sandwich $10.99). Use the store nearest your hotel; do not drive across town for it.

Space 220: the $79 dinner buys an elevator ride and a screen. The lounge (plates $17 to $28) gives you the room for less, and you need EPCOT admission either way.

Knife & Spoon: the June 2026 menu prints no prices, the restaurant lost its star in 2024, and it sits out at Grande Lakes. Capa or Christner's give you the same kind of night with the numbers visible.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium: skip the dining room. An $18 to $20 milkshake from the counter is a fine CityWalk treat; the savory menu is not worth a wait.

• Disney tables open 60 days out at about 6 a.m. Eastern. Disney resort guests can book their whole stay, up to 10 days, on the 60-day mark. No-shows and late cancellations carry a per-person fee; Disney does not print the amount on its restaurant pages.
• Service charges are added automatically at Kaya (20% on every check) and at Knife & Spoon for parties of six or more (20%). The Boathouse adds 18% for six or more.
• Prepaid tables at Soseki are final sale; rescheduling needs five days' notice and costs $100 per person.
• Dress codes are real at the top end. Victoria & Albert's asks for semi-formal to formal wear, Christner's prefers a jacket, and Disney's signature restaurants, including California Grill and Jiko, ask for clean, neat clothes and no swimwear. Capa is resort casual.
• Walk-ins work at Black Bean Deli, Se7en Bites (no reservations at all) and Hawkers, which runs an online waitlist.

Disney guests without a car should eat at Jiko, California Grill or Victoria & Albert's and use Disney transport. Everyone with a car should spend one evening in Mills 50 for Kaya or Hawkers, and one morning in Winter Park or the Milk District for Black Bean Deli or Se7en Bites.
