Four days is the length Disney is built for: one theme park per day, no Park Hopper, no water park. The order matters more than people think. Opening times, Magic Kingdom's party nights and the Lightning Lane booking window all push the days into a sequence, and ours is Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios.
We built it for Monday, October 12 to Thursday, October 15, 2026. Disney's calendar showed a 3-day ticket at $533.54 and a 5-day at $763.95 per adult from October 12. We did not capture the exact 4-day total; working back from the 5-day price and what a fifth day costs, it sits at about $672 to $720 before 6.5% tax. Disney shows the exact figure when you pick your date on its ticket calendar.

Why this order
- Animal Kingdom first. It opens earliest (8 a.m. on the dates we saw, 7:30 a.m. with early entry) and closes earliest. Arrival-week body clocks wake early, and a day done by 2 p.m. leaves room to recover.
- EPCOT on the Tuesday. October 13 is a Halloween party night, when Magic Kingdom closes to day guests at 6 p.m. So is October 15. Be elsewhere.
- Magic Kingdom on the Wednesday. A normal night with fireworks, and by day 3 you know the Lightning Lane app.
- Hollywood Studios last. It is the park most dependent on Lightning Lane. Off-site guests book 3 days ahead, so you can book it from the hotel on day 1, once you know how the system behaves.
For a different week, keep the logic: Magic Kingdom on a non-party night, Animal Kingdom early in the trip.
Day 1: Animal Kingdom, done by early afternoon
Plan: with early entry, Avatar Flight of Passage, then Na'vi River Journey, then walk to Kilimanjaro Safaris at 8 a.m. while the animals are active, then Expedition Everest. Festival of the Lion King and one walking trail, lunch, back to the hotel by 2 p.m. DinoLand U.S.A. closed for good on February 1, 2026, so do not look for it. Full order on our Animal Kingdom page.
Eat: dinner at Jiko in Animal Kingdom Lodge, entrées $41 to $62, the best signature dinner for the money at Disney.
Lightning Lane: with early entry, skip it. Without, the Flight of Passage Single Pass ($18) and Multi Pass ($19) were the prices reported for October 5.
Day 2: EPCOT, a slower day that ends late
Plan: from Pop Century, the Skyliner lands at the International Gateway: Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, then Test Track and Cosmic Rewind if the lines allow. Take the hot hours in CommuniCore Hall or The Seas. From mid-afternoon walk the World Showcase loop. The Food & Wine Festival runs to November 21 (booth dishes $4.29 to $17.50); from November 27 to December 30 it is the Festival of the Holidays. Luminous closes the night. See EPCOT.
Lightning Lane: skip Multi Pass here on a weekday. The Cosmic Rewind Single Pass was reported at $22 if you did not ride it early.
Day 3: Magic Kingdom, the long one
Plan: early entry for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan and Space Mountain; Frontierland at official opening for Big Thunder and Tiana's. Tiana's Bayou Adventure closes from November 2 and is expected back in December 2026, and the railroad is closed from September 28 into November. Break from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., come back for Haunted Mansion, TRON in the last hour, and Happily Ever After, reported at 9 p.m. from October 5. Order: Magic Kingdom.
Eat: a Dole Whip ($5.99) or a turkey leg ($14.99 at Liberty Square Market). For the fireworks from above, California Grill is $99 a person.
Lightning Lane: buy Multi Pass here; it was reported at $35 a person for October 4. Add the TRON Single Pass ($23) only if you will not stay late.
Day 4: Hollywood Studios, then Disney Springs
Plan: with early entry, Rise of the Resistance first, then Smugglers Run and Slinky Dog Dash. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Tower of Terror on Multi Pass after lunch, plus two stage shows. If you have a late flight, this is the park to leave at 3 p.m. See Hollywood Studios. Check whether your date is a Jollywood Nights evening (select nights November 7, 2026 to January 5, 2027), a separate ticket.
Eat: Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge, then dinner at Disney Springs, where parking is free and The Boathouse runs its $125 Amphicar tours.

How we got the ticket line: Disney's 5-day ticket was $763.95 from October 12, 2026, and MouseSavers' 2026 table puts the fifth day at $46.98 to $97.47 including tax, or about $44 to $92 before it. For the exact figure, price your date on Disney's calendar. Consider the 5-day ticket: the extra day costs less than most 1-day tickets ($179 to $199 on October 12).
Lightning Lane as planned, with early entry, adds $128 for two (Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios Multi Passes). Without early entry, adding the Flight of Passage, Cosmic Rewind, TRON and Rise Single Passes and the Animal Kingdom Multi Pass, it is $342. Park Hopper added $85 to $105 to longer tickets; with one park a day, skip it (see Is Park Hopper worth it?).
Hotel is extra: Pop Century was $275 to $318 a night on December 8, 2026. A Disney hotel adds early entry and the 7-day Lightning Lane window; see Is staying on site worth it? The Skyliner closes January 24 to 30, 2027, with buses instead.

Frequently asked questions
Is 4 days enough for Disney World?
Yes, for each of the four theme parks once. Add a fifth day if you want a water park, a rest day or a second Magic Kingdom day; the fifth ticket day costs about $44 to $92 before tax.
What order should I do the Disney parks in?
Put Magic Kingdom on a night without a Halloween or Christmas party, when it closes at 6 p.m. to day guests. Animal Kingdom works well first because it opens earliest and closes early. Hollywood Studios suits the last day, when you know the Lightning Lane app.
How much is a 4-day Disney World ticket?
It depends on the start date. For October 12, 2026 we estimate about $672 to $720 per adult before tax, between Disney's 3-day ($533.54) and 5-day ($763.95) prices. MouseSavers lists 2026 4-day tickets at $522.77 to $773.12 including tax across the year.
Do I need Park Hopper for 4 days at Disney?
Not for this plan. Every park gets a full day. Park Hopper is worth it on 4-day tickets only if you will hop on at least half your days.
Which Disney water park is open in fall 2026?
Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon closed on September 9, 2026 for refurbishment and Disney has not announced a reopening date. A 1-day water park ticket is $74 for ages 10 and up.
