Is Lightning Lane Multi Pass worth it?

Average posted waits for 2026 come from Queue-Times, which logs Disney's posted times all day. Averages include quiet evenings, so midday waits run higher. Each park lets you book only one ride from its top group in advance (Animal Kingdom has no groups).

At September prices that is roughly $10 to $14 per hour of average waiting skipped at Hollywood Studios and $15 to $20 at Magic Kingdom, before the extra bookings you can make during the day. You still walk the Lightning Lane queue itself, which is shorter but not zero.

The value rises on busy days. Queue-Times' all-time average daily peaks at Magic Kingdom are 73 minutes for Peter Pan's Flight, 68 for Space Mountain and 58 for Haunted Mansion. The same three picks on a busy afternoon can cover well over two hours.

The biggest ride in each park is sold separately as a Lightning Lane Single Pass. You can buy up to two per day. These are also the longest lines of 2026, per Queue-Times averages:

• TRON Lightcycle / Run, Magic Kingdom: 64-minute average. Single Pass $19-$20 in September, $23 on October 5.
• Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Magic Kingdom: 47 minutes. $11-$13 in September, $15 on October 5.
• Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, EPCOT: 69 minutes. $18-$19 in September, $22 on October 5.
• Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Hollywood Studios: 47 minutes. $20-$24 in September, $25 on October 5.
• Avatar Flight of Passage, Animal Kingdom: 55 minutes. $15-$16 in September, $18 on October 5.

A day at Magic Kingdom with Multi Pass plus both Single Passes cost $73 per person on October 5 ($35 + $23 + $15). For a family of four that is $292 before tax, on top of tickets. At that level, rope drop is the cheaper strategy for the headliners.

• Hollywood Studios visitors, on almost any day. Most of its rides have long average waits and few low-wait fillers. See our Hollywood Studios guide.
• Magic Kingdom on busy dates: Queue-Times' average daily peaks for Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain are all above an hour.
• Disney Resort guests, who book 7 days before check-in for their whole stay and get first pick of return times. Off-site guests book 3 days before each park day. See whether staying on-site is worth it.
• Short trips. With one day per park, paying $25 to skip 90 minutes of queues is easy to justify.

• Animal Kingdom days. Outside Flight of Passage, 2026 averages were 30 minutes or less for every ride. Arrive early and you will not need it.
• Rope-drop families on quiet dates. On quiet dates, the first two hours after opening do the work for free.
• EPCOT visitors who want only Test Track and Remy. Both are in the top group, so you can pre-book only one.
• Anyone planning to hop with only one Multi Pass. Selections at a second park require Park Hopper.

The high end is Lightning Lane Premier Pass: one entry to every Lightning Lane in a park with no return times. On October 5, Inside the Magic reported $399 at Magic Kingdom, $339 at Hollywood Studios, $229 at EPCOT and $179 at Animal Kingdom, per person, per day. It is a product for one-day visitors with a budget, not a default.

1. Check the price in the app when your window opens: 7 days before check-in on-site, 3 days before your park day off-site. Sales start at 7 a.m. Eastern.
2. Book return times that match the order you plan to walk the park, so you are not crossing it three times.
3. Use the first booking, then book the next available ride straight away.
4. Keep headliners for rope drop instead of buying Single Pass, unless your day starts late.
