• Minnie Pearl ($22.75 listed): buttermilk fried chicken between two pearl sugar waffles with hot honey, an over-medium egg, vanilla bean butter syrup and cheddar chive grits. The award winner.
• Signature chicken biscuit ($12.75): fried chicken on a buttermilk biscuit with red pepper jelly cream cheese. The best value on the menu.
• Chicken pot pie ($17.75): the one from the TV show. Out by 11 a.m., gone when it is gone.
• Nightime SkyPie ($6.75): vanilla bean bourbon bacon pie, also from the show.

At lunch, the Southern Cuban ($18.75) is pulled pork and ham with fried pickles and South Carolina mustard barbecue sauce. It is not a traditional Cuban sandwich, and it does not pretend to be.

Those prices are the to-go prices printed on the menu, which include a 75-cent packaging fee. Eat in and each item is 75 cents less.

Se7en Bites runs a formal line and seating system and says waits are usually 10 to 15 minutes even when the line looks long. You cannot save a table while friends park, and there is no call-ahead list.

The parking lot is strictly for people eating there. The restaurant patrols it, tows cars left while drivers walk elsewhere, and locks the gates at close. Arrive in one car if you can. Dogs can sit on the patio; they are not allowed inside. There are vegetarian options but no vegan dishes.

The bakery case is the reason to stop even if you ate elsewhere. Scones are $3.75, cookies from $3, brownies from $5.75, mini pies from $7 and a three-layer cake slice is $7.50.
