Gatorland takes $3 off adult and child single-day tickets bought online, and $10 off the zip line online. Senior tickets (60+) are sold at the gate with ID; the site lists them at $31.98 on one page and $31.99 on another. Children 2 and under are free.

The Greater Gator Package is only worth it if you want the Meet-A-Gator photo moment in the show arena. Gatorland values the extras at $19.50; you pay $7 more than admission for them.

Jumparoo, where Gatorland says some of the largest alligators jump four feet or more out of the water, is the one to plan around. Legends of the Swamp puts a handler in the arena with 6- to 8-foot alligators. Up Close Encounters rotates animals, including venomous snakes. If you arrive at 10:30 a.m., the morning sequence runs back to back and you can see all three by 1 p.m.

The petting farm is open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The breeding marsh boardwalk is open all day and is the quietest part of the park.

The Screamin' Gator Zip Line launches from towers up to 65 feet high and runs over the alligator and crocodile pens at close to 30 miles per hour, according to Gatorland. The price starts at $79.99 plus tax and includes full-day admission, so the true add-on cost is about $45 over a regular adult ticket.

Rules to know before you book: riders must be at least 37 inches tall and under 275 pounds. Closed-toe shoes are required; skirts and dresses are not allowed. Phones and cameras cannot come with you, and lockers are provided. Arrive at admissions 30 minutes before your time. Full refunds need 48 hours' notice. Weather cancellations get a rain check valid for a year.

For thrill-seekers who have done the big coasters, it is a reasonable splurge. For families with young children, the off-road buggy ride is the gentler paid extra.

It is not a theme park. There are no roller coasters. The rides are the Gatorland Express train and the paid off-road buggies, and the food is Pearl's Good Eats and a snack bar, with menus posted on Gatorland's site. It is a working alligator farm with a long history, and it shows animals in pens and pools, not in landscaped habitats. If that bothers you, skip it. If you want a relaxed half day with young children between park days, or you want to see an alligator from 3 feet away safely, it delivers.

It is also the closest thing to an airboat or swamp trip without leaving the metro area. Real wild alligators live in the lakes around Orlando, but Gatorland is where you can see hundreds reliably.

Weekday mornings are quietest. Summer afternoons bring storms, but the park stays open and the shows move or pause for lightning. In fall, Gatorland runs Gators, Ghosts and Goblins on weekends from October 10 to 25, 2026, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., included with admission, with a costume parade at 1:30 p.m.

Gator Night Shine runs Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday by reservation (minimum 5, maximum 25 people). Gatorland's 2026 schedule puts the start at 7:30 p.m. through October 1 and 6:30 p.m. from November 1; it does not list a time for October 2 to 31, so call ahead for that month.
