The Hyatt Regency Orlando is a large resort-style hotel at 9801 International Drive, connected to the Orange County Convention Center. It is a well-equipped building: five on-site restaurants, a 24-hour market, pool cabanas, a spa and TopGolf Swing Suites. It is also a convention hotel, and that sets the price.
On Hyatt's site on September 22, 2026, it was not available for November 17 or December 8, 2026. For January 12, 2027 it started at $692 a night (member advance purchase; $705 without membership), a figure that already includes the $48 daily resort fee, before tax. Parking is $45 a night on top.

Together, the resort fee and self-parking are $93 a night before tax. On a five-night stay that is $465 before you pay for a room.

Park parking is extra: $35 a day at Disney or Universal. The hotel's FAQ names rideshare, taxi and the I-Ride Trolley as the local options, and its transport page lists an I-Ride stop. The trolley costs $2 a ride and covers I-Drive, SeaWorld and the outlets, but not the theme parks at Disney or Universal.
Why the rate is hard to pin down
We tried three dates on Hyatt's own site, one night, two adults:
- November 17, 2026: "not available during those dates."
- December 8, 2026: not available.
- January 12, 2027: from $692 (member advance purchase) or $705 (advance purchase), including fees, before tax.
That pattern points to large events next door filling the house. We did not find a published event calendar that explains each date, so check your own dates before planning around this hotel. Hyatt's search results for nearby alternatives on the same dates: Hyatt Place Orlando / I-Drive / Convention Center, 0.8 miles away, at $264 (November 17) and $258 (December 8), and Hyatt House Orlando / International Drive at $108 and $144, all including fees, before tax.
What the building offers
Credit where due: this is a full resort on the inside. Hyatt lists five restaurants and a 24-hour grab-and-go market, an updated pool deck with full-day cabana rentals with lounge seating and a TV, a spa with outdoor serenity pools, a fitness center and TopGolf Swing Suites. If a conference pays for the room, you will be comfortable.
None of that changes the arithmetic for a family paying its own way to the parks. You pay resort-level fees without any theme park benefit, and you drive to every park.
Who should book it
Book it if you are attending the convention center and want to walk to your event, or if you can use points. Skip it for a park trip: Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is also near the convention center, charges no resort fee and $10 a night to park, and runs a free Universal shuttle. If you want resort pools and park perks, Cabana Bay was $194 to $202 on our November and December dates and includes Universal's early park admission.
