Universal's official overview lists ten new haunted houses for 2026:

The four scare zones are Fortnitemares, Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, Downtown Clowntown and Sideshow of Decay. The two shows are the Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins lagoon show and Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir. Jack and Oddfellow, this year's icons, get their own house.

The pass prices are the launch prices reported in July 2026. Orlando Informer later listed them from $239.99, $289.99, $339.99 and $469.99, so expect the current price to be higher. Universal's own ticket pages load prices by date and did not display them when we checked, so confirm there before you buy.

Express for Horror Nights is sold per night, on top of the event ticket. Reported prices moved a lot through the season. TouringPlans gave a range of $169.99 to $279.99 when sales opened. By September, Orlando Informer's date-by-date list ran from $250 on the cheapest mid-September nights to $310 on peak October nights, including Halloween itself.

New for 2026: Express can no longer be added to any multi-night Fear Pass. If you hold a pass, you buy Express night by night.

Other extras: the non-private R.I.P. Tour starts at $389.99 plus tax and event admission. The Behind the Screams tour starts at $99.99 for three houses. A Scream Early ticket costs $70 or $75 before tax, depending on the date, and Premium Scream Night, on select dates only, starts at about $400 plus tax. The event runs mostly Wednesday to Sunday, after an opening weekend of Friday to Sunday. Express prices show where demand peaks: in Orlando Informer's list, the $250 nights were September 9, 10, 16, 17, 18 and 19, and the $310 nights were October 7 to 11, October 14, 15 and 17, and Halloween. Single-night tickets follow the same date-based logic, so compare several nights on Universal's calendar before you commit.

Check the night you want on Universal's calendar before planning around it. Some weeks have Monday and Tuesday gaps, and the event does not run every night.

Pick the earliest, cheapest night that fits your trip. Queue at the gate before the 6:30 p.m. opening and walk straight to the house you most want to see. Save the scare zones, which have no queue, for when house waits are long.

Stay on site if you can. Universal-area hotels are a walk or boat ride from the gate, which matters at 2 a.m. The whole event takes place inside Universal Studios Florida, so the rest of the resort, including Islands of Adventure, is not part of it.

Families with younger children should look at Disney's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party instead. Note that every 2026 date of that party has sold out.
