Wally's is a liquor store with a bar attached at 1001 N. Mills Ave., in the Mills 50 district just northeast of downtown Orlando. It opened in 1954 as Orange Liquors No. 2 and calls itself the oldest bar in Orlando. The draw is the room: a 1961 wallpaper of partly clothed women, a roadside sign, and a crowd of regulars.
Wally's publishes no menu and no prices. Expect domestic beer, well drinks and heavy pours. Hours listings in 2026 show it opening at 7 a.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, closing at 2 a.m. The bar itself does not post hours, so treat those as a guide.

It nearly closed in 2018
In August 2018 a sign on the door announced that Wally's was closing after 64 years. It did not stay closed. After a renovation of about seven months it reopened in 2019 with a U-shaped bar, a no-smoking rule, and the wallpaper professionally restored. The current operators, Mills Lounge LLC, have run the bar since October 2020 and bought the property in 2022 for $1.85 million.
Beer check-ins on Untappd continued into September 2026, so the bar is operating. Note that Untappd's own venue page carries an out-of-date "permanently closed" tag.
What to order
Order a beer. The most-logged beers at Wally's on Untappd are Yuengling Traditional Lager, Montucky Cold Snacks and Stella Artois. Mixed drinks are simple and strong. There is no kitchen menu worth planning around; listings mention food trucks on some nights.
A happy-hour listing claims drinks from $2.50 during the day, but it is undated and we could not confirm it. Wally's is cheap by Orlando standards; how cheap, it does not say.
Who it suits
Wally's suits anyone who wants to see Orlando before the theme parks: a bar that predates Magic Kingdom by 17 years. It does not suit a group looking for craft cocktails or a quiet table. Reviews are split on service, and the room gets packed at night.
Make a night of Mills 50: eat first at Hawkers or the Mills 50 location of Black Bean Deli, then finish at Wally's. For cocktails afterward, Hanson's Shoe Repair downtown is a short ride away.
