Orlando Science Center

The exhibit halls listed on the center's site in September 2026:

• KidsTown: for ages 0 to 7, with water play, climbing and building. The best part of the building for toddlers and preschoolers.
• DinoDigs: dinosaurs, marine reptiles and megafauna fossils.
• Life: a newer nature and conservation hall with live animals and habitats.
• Kinetic Zone: engineering and hands-on building challenges.
• Our Planet, Our Solar System: Earth systems and space.
• Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, Fusion: A STEAM Gallery and Food Heroes.

Admission also covers The Dome by Dr. Phillips Charities, an eight-story domed theater with 8K laser projection used for planetarium shows and giant-screen films, and the VyStar Adventure Theater for films and live presentations. Check the day's theater schedule on arrival and build the visit around one Dome show.

A family of two adults and two children pays $102 online, before parking. Discounts listed by the center: military and first responders ($23 to $29 by age), Science For All admission of $5 per person for up to six people with an EBT or WIC card, and free admission or 15% off membership for active Florida educators with ID. An annual family membership costs $209, about the price of two online visits for a family of four, and it includes free parking.

Paid self-parking is $4 an hour in the Science Center's own garage at 782 Princeton Street, first come, first served. A four-hour family visit therefore adds $16. Members park free. Accessible spaces are on Level 2 and EV chargers on the ground floor.

Everyone enters through the Love Bridge on Level 2 of the garage, which crosses Princeton Street to the main building. After parking, take the stairs or elevator at the northwest corner of the garage.

• Food: 4Roots Cafe runs 11 a.m.–4 p.m. (grab-and-go to 4:30 p.m.), and The Coffee Spot 10 a.m.–4:15 p.m. You can bring your own food, but not into the exhibit halls or the cafe; the center suggests picnicking in Loch Haven Park outside.
• Strollers: strollers or wagons wider than 31 inches or longer than 52 inches are not recommended. Rental strollers are $5 (free for members); wheelchairs are free to borrow.
• No lockers: there is no luggage storage, so do not come straight from the airport with suitcases.
• Exhibit hall closures: the center posts individual hall closures on its calendar. Check it the morning you go.

The Science Center is at its best as a rainy-day or heat-wave plan with children between about 2 and 12. It is indoors and it is 3 miles from downtown rather than out by the parks. Pair it with Leu Gardens, about 1.5 miles away by road, or with Loch Haven Park's lawns for a picnic. Teenagers and adults without children will probably find the exhibits aimed younger than they want; for them, the Kennedy Space Center day trip is the science outing worth the drive.
