Art of Animation is Disney's value resort built around family suites themed to Cars, The Lion King and Finding Nemo, plus standard rooms themed to The Little Mermaid. It is on the same Skyliner line as Pop Century, so the transport is identical.
On Disney's booking page on September 22, 2026, family suites were $515 to $574 for November 17 and $610 to $705 for December 8, two adults, before tax. The Little Mermaid standard rooms were unavailable on both dates, so in practice this was a suites-only hotel for those nights.

The family suites
Disney's rate page lists every suite as sleeping up to six adults, with one queen bed, a double-size sleeper sofa and a double-size pull-down bed. The themes differ; the layout does not.

Take the theme-assigned rate. The $6 to $95 extra for choosing a theme buys wall art, not space.
Getting to the parks
The Skyliner connects Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach and Riviera to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT's International Gateway. It opens an hour before early entry at those parks and closes 90 minutes after they close. On Extended Evening nights at EPCOT it closes an hour after the park, and the Art of Animation line does not run.
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are Disney buses, running from 45 minutes before opening to an hour after closing. Disney lists Skyliner refurbishment closures from January 24 to 30, 2027 and January 24 to February 2, 2028, with buses instead.
Perks and fees
- Early Theme Park Entry: 30 minutes daily at every park, through 2027.
- Lightning Lane: buy passes 7 days before check-in for the whole stay.
- Parking: overnight self-parking free, standard theme park parking included.
- Not included: Extended Evening Hours, which Disney limits to Deluxe hotels.
Disney's page showed no separate resort fee; rates are before tax.
The 2027 to 2028 refurbishment
Disney's notice on the rate page: from mid-June 2027 through October 2028, rooms at Art of Animation will be refurbished in phases, one themed area at a time. Guests may see or hear work in the daytime, and alternate walking routes may be in place. If you book for summer 2027 or later, ask which area is under work before you pick a theme.
Suite or two rooms?
The honest comparison is with Pop Century next door, same Skyliner, same perks. On December 8, 2026:
- One Art of Animation family suite: from $610.
- Two Pop Century standard rooms: $550 (2 x $275), sleeping up to eight.
- One Pop Century room for four: $275.
So for four people, Art of Animation costs more than double for a bit more space. For five or six, the suite is roughly level with two Pop rooms and keeps everyone behind one door, which is what families with young children usually want. On November 17, Pop's cheapest available room was $238; two would be $476 against the suite's $515. Either way, price your own dates on both hotels before deciding, because the gap changed between our two dates.
Who should book it
Book it for a party of five or six that wants one room and a Skyliner-served base. Skip it for four people: Pop Century is the better buy. Compare the options on is staying on Disney property worth it.
